[00:00:18] And you know what? It doesn't even have to be about your Dads Car. You can be your mum's, your grants, your parents, gardens or even a neighbours. If it made an impression, let's talk about it.

[00:00:34] So, we have a little bit of news actually. We've been approached by the NEC Classic Car Show, and asked if we would like to take part this year on their new podcast stage.

[00:00:47] Yeah, which is great. So that is what we are after isn't it really? That is sort of thing. A bit of an opportunity in a trip away from the family.

[00:00:57] Yeah, it's an exciting opportunity. It was the last year we must have been. We did bangers in cash life, which was a chance to get out in front of an audience that showed when we do to a certain extent.

[00:01:10] Obviously, it was more of a question in answer. It wasn't it rather than us doing a podcast. Yeah, from reading through the information we've been sent, it sounds like they've got a small kind of area.

[00:01:20] I think sort of seating for 25, 30 people and some standing room in a quiet corner of the NEC where people can come and watch some podcasts being recorded. And we've got the potential, I think, for kind of an hour slot hopefully on the Saturday and another one on Sunday,

[00:01:36] where we can either bring a guest along. They might even be able to provide us with some sort of semi-famous type guests or perhaps we'll just pluck someone off the audience and have a chat with them about the earliest car memories.

[00:01:49] Yeah, it sounds ideal to be honest isn't it? Good setting for us to sort of get our podcasts out there a bit more because like you said, yeah, the bangers in cashing was great, but obviously we were there for them.

[00:02:00] And weren't they where as this one we can kind of play what we're doing and hopefully find a few people to have a natter. Yeah, and I think we were up there earlier in the evening for the restoration show.

[00:02:12] And I think that went really well. We met quite a lot of people. We did that little episode sort of, yeah, box pop type thing, wasn't it? Sort of interviewing people just for 30 seconds a minute at a time.

[00:02:24] Yeah, it's good fun. That seems to have done really well. So I think yeah, absolutely potential for us doing that at the NEC as well. But then also see if we couldn't get on to stage.

[00:02:34] Have a few people watch us and sort of buy into it and yeah, come on a bit of a journey with us. I think given that it's build as like a podcasty area, we should hopefully get people that are ready and willing to get involved.

[00:02:48] And yeah, and also they might end up having to listen to it some of the other episodes. That sort of thing. So yeah, it sounds like a good opportunity I think.

[00:02:56] Yeah, I think so. And they've approached kind of a whole handful of different kind of creators who do podcast so we won't give any names away at the moment.

[00:03:04] Just in case kind of things change but there are some kind of familiar and sort of fairly high ranking podcast. I think you signed up. So you'd be considered and kind of mentioned in the same breath as them would be yeah definitely. Yeah, it's quite a compliment really.

[00:03:20] I'd be good to see them in action really and yeah, because it's all learning curve isn't it? So yeah, just being able to sort of be around those people maybe change a few numbers here and there and I'd be doing some recordings further down the line with them.

[00:03:34] Yeah, absolutely. I was at good wood at the weekend actually for the Flat 6 Porsche and yeah had a good old chat with Paul Cowland. So saw him again, which was quite nice. So yeah, still on his case for.

[00:03:46] So we're getting involved maybe it'll happen at this I don't know who nice. Yeah, maybe but he's obviously he's very willing isn't he? But he's just a case of nailing someone that busy down isn't it which is completely understandable.

[00:03:58] He wants to do it in person. That's kind of his his thing. The other thing we've got we see we have booked an Airbnb for the Saturday night so I guess potentially we could see if we can get someone kind of for the evening.

[00:04:10] Maybe go out for a car or something. Yeah food in and get someone over and say look yeah we're already sort of 15 minutes up the road. Come around grab some food and yeah, we'll just sit down with a podcast machine.

[00:04:23] Yeah, so yeah that could be kind of an opportunity to do that. Yeah, definitely. What else do we need to tell you about that? That's about it I think that's kind of that's our exciting news more news as when we get it I suppose.

[00:04:38] I'm sure there will be more bits to release right there as we get closer. I'd tell you what there is actually with that is the promise of some tickets we'll be able to do as a giveaway.

[00:04:47] And yeah potentially we'll get kind of a couple of tickets for some guests as well. That would be good. Yeah, that would be quite nice.

[00:04:56] You know it's going to be a bit of support from the show they want us sort of singing their praises encouraging people to do that.

[00:05:02] I think also there's the option for a discount code. I think for people to get a few quit off tickets if they are going up for the weekend.

[00:05:08] Yeah, so yeah hopefully we can save you a few pounds there and yeah obviously if you are at the show then yeah do come and find us and sit in the audience do some chairing and what not. He called. He called. Have you been before?

[00:05:24] Have they ever been personally? Not to this one anyway. Yes, I have. Yeah, I worked it once actually we went out for work. Did you? But yeah it's very similar set up to what we had at the beginning of the year really.

[00:05:36] It's the same same place a lot of the the same faces. Mmm. I guess it yeah bookends the year really. Yeah from that point of view. Similar kind of talent pull. Yeah you're Paul Collins. I guess Danny Hopkins. Yeah your Mike Bruce and answered etc. Yeah.

[00:05:56] Various different stages around the place kind of talking about how to fix things or there'll be some kind of auction there. Sure, but yeah good a good weekend away and I think actually when we were up they're doing the stuff at the beginning of the year.

[00:06:09] A second day would have probably been beneficial. We were sort of we didn't really stop did we know we could have ran from pillar to post. Yeah recording things trying to get some pictures and some video and all the rest so. Yeah.

[00:06:22] I think it's a way for two days. Well there was a few people that were typing to catch right away. Yeah and do a bit with but it's yeah tricky as you say to do it all in one day and pin people down.

[00:06:33] So you're hopefully with the extra day we can get a bit more under our belt. Yeah, I'm excited about that. I think it's going to go well. Other things to add out so we just had a couple of new reviews which is really good. Thank you too.

[00:07:00] He's episode haven't gone out yet but I think he's left us a review as well. Yeah, it was very kind. He's the chap who's there's old car. I've had to spot on the trip to the doctors. That's correct. One win to see.

[00:07:14] Yeah, he had to be accidentally a new took a photo or video of it and. That's it. He identified it. Yeah, I haven't got a jar and a coin in the moment so I'm just going to knock a kick against the cup. I've got a coin.

[00:07:25] I've got a glass but my glasses got drinking so we're going to get more of a sort of a wishing well, like noise. Not quite the sound effect. We were thinking of it. I have as it happens. I've saved the sound of the pound falling in a jar.

[00:07:37] Really? Yeah, so I can just drop that in. There's also an optional chuckle with that as well if you're up to the full. You know, I've a radio DJ there right now. Yeah, I could have a round of applause. Steve Wright's type thing. Doris de Sump. Yeah.

[00:07:56] We've also got it. It's good with festival speed this weekend. I've been sent two photos of Citroen BX. Really? At the festival of speed on the Carthier Lord in the Concourse section. Fantastic. You're not going to? No, I'm not. I don't mind it but it's not really me.

[00:08:13] It's a bit modern. Yeah, generally speaking, I must have met last time I went. Which was several years ago now. It was starting to get a bit modern for me. In fact, there were sort of cars sort of zipping around modern stuff.

[00:08:27] I just sort of thought all the engine notes just seem very, very similar now. I just thought, you know, the oldest stuff. You just got so many more variety and I don't know. Like, smells and all that kind of stuff. It's alright.

[00:08:43] I've been, yeah, not knocking it, not at all. But I last went 29, 10. And I did a bit more exploring at that one to be fair. But yeah, I prefer we're going to go to the revival on the September. So that's kind of more my bag really.

[00:09:00] A little bit less hilly as well. Good with pretty hilly. It's the hill climb. Yeah. But yeah, the top of the hill climbs, they got a rally stage which is kind of cool. But yeah, there's a lot of walking. It's a lot of effort.

[00:09:15] And if I've only got a limited funds, which I have, then yeah, I've spent my money on kind of stuff for the circuit. Yeah, I always thought, first of all, speed's great if you can go with some complimentary tickets basically. Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:30] Guess the weather's clear as well, isn't it? Another time. Yeah, it's, well, it's currently. It's not too bad down here actually. It's sort of overcast actually quite a good day probably for being there. Yeah, not too hot. You don't want it 25, 30 degrees. No. You're cooked.

[00:09:43] I've had that before there, I think. Yeah. Yeah, late teens early 20s. Yeah. T-shirt slash jumper where that's fine isn't it? Yeah. Definitely. So yeah, that's going on. I can't remember where that was leading me to. You're talking about a BX, weren't you?

[00:09:58] That's the way it's gone out there. So life's gone though, you get sent pictures of BX's. Yeah, I never thought that would have happened. They just thought that. It is funny though. The BX actually came up on the first episode and it was Rob.

[00:10:10] And it sort of just stuck. It's just become a bit of a thing. Yeah. I've got a close friend my wife seeing maybe a few times a year. But we're talking about do-seem. He always says, I thought of you John there. Look at that.

[00:10:26] So I really old car. I don't know what it was but I took a picture and I was going to send it to a, listen, it's my wife but I didn't in the editing.

[00:10:32] He hasn't got mine now but it's like, he shows it to me and I say, Oh yeah, that's a, that's a side sign. Yeah, that's what it comes down to. Cool. Good stuff. That's the news. Thank you very much for tuning in. Thank you very much John. Pleasure.
