Yeah, good mate. How are you?

Well, not too bad. It's been a while since we've done this.

It's been a while, yeah. It's been a I don't know, good summer at least.

Yeah, indeed.

Are your kids back? Yeah, they went back on Tuesday. What about you? Uh yesterday. Okay. Yeah, Thursday. Bit of insert day action, was it at the school?

Uh possible. Yeah, possible.

Are you um gardening or furniture?

Furniture, mainly.

Yeah. Well obviously grass sort of ceased to exist, isn't it? Um this summer.

So Yeah, yeah, that's true, yeah.

Unless you've got green paint. Yeah. So um yeah, the furniture has taken quite a uh a big portion of my weekly routine now. I've just got home actually, I've just been over to um London Bridge and Old Street somewhere, just delivering some stuff. So Okay, cool. It wasn't the most enjoyable uh journey, I must say, but no, I can imagine. I need to sort of have a look and see what I owe the mayor of London for for the pleasure of tunnels and congestion zones and do you get stitched up for that in the Picasso? Uh yeah, I don't think you can avoid a tunnel charge unless you're blue badge holder or Oh, that's worth considering, isn't it? Well, exactly, yeah. Yeah. You can use the hose pipe as well, can't you, if you've got um blue badge.

Oh really?

Yeah.

I learned the other day that if you have laid a lawn recently within 30 days, your hose pipe ban is also exempt.

Really? Yeah. I didn't know that. It's probably the worst time to lay a lawn of all time, isn't it? Isn't it? Yeah. The dry summer for God knows how long.

So a quick thing while we're just doing this, probably worth us just telling people because we've we've not published anything for a month or so. Right. Probably just telling people that we are still alive. We are still alive, yeah. But we've also uh got lives and um children to look after and families to see, and we'll be back soon. Yeah. Unfortunately, all of the above um dictate. So yeah, we are still here, and um season nine I'm currently working on. And that would hopefully be with people towards the end of September. We've actually had kind of even though we've not put anything out the last month or so, we've actually had some reasonable kind of numbers coming through. Yeah. That's good. Sort of 10, 15, 20 downloads a day on stuff.

I don't know what I would expect. I mean, as a listener personally, to the stuff that I listen to, I kind of switch off over the summer. But then I guess the majority of my stuff is football related, so yeah, it's true, yeah. That's kind of off-season. The off-season, yeah. But yeah, I don't know, it goes for our sort of sector. People have a bit of downtime over the summer. Or I don't know if I listen in more in car journeys or whatever.

Yeah, I don't know. I think we're still we're still probably very much scratching the surface on the audience.

Yeah.

Like for the amount of people who know of us and kind of tune in the thing. So I guess it only takes like another four or five people to tune in one week, and then you could potentially double your numbers. Yeah, yeah. So yeah. We'll see. We'll see. We'll keep it going. Indeed. I've got yeah, the portions in parts at the moment in the in the garage because it's all rusty. Is it?

Oh no, yeah.

Yeah, the sill's all rusty, so I'm kind of slowly working my way through that, which I wanted to kind of crack on earlier on in the summer, really.

But um is it all sort of recoverable?

Yes, but basically I ended up with like this thin sort of rusty slot, if you like, in the bottom of the sill. From a bit of probing and hitting it with a hammer, literally, it was like the jackpot on a fruit machine, all this rust came out. Literally a pile of it. And um, yes, obviously I've had to sort of cut a bit of that open to have a look inside, and you're like, ah, what should be there isn't there, or is very rusty. So God kind of working my way through it.

Is that a common thing with I mean, I guess it's an old car, but the Porsche is generally it is on those, yeah. They do, right? It is on those, yeah. I suppose they're quite low slung, aren't they? A bit of moisture probably gets in and yeah.

And they've also because of the value on them, they kind of went down into like the I guess high hundreds, maybe. Um, like they've had sort of the cheap MOT fix up and stuff like that over the years. Yeah. Yeah, it's it's still not a it's not an expensive, like mega valuable car. It's probably sub 10 grand, but it's now slightly more valuable than it was. And um if you kind of go back to I guess early noughties, sort of that's probably when they were at their lowest ebb, probably. Like no one really wanted one. Uh in the same way, no one really wanted a Porsche 964, and they're now like 50, 60, 80 grand. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. People were turning their nose up at those at 10 grand. Like, no, I don't want that. No, I don't want an RS for 30, and now they're a quarter of a million.

I think we must be um close, maybe end of this decade, to the 2000 cars. The cars of the 2000s sort of going up, up and away, I'd imagine. I think, yeah, some of them are, I think. It's just surely like Fords now, like these really expensive fast forwards from back in the day, they they must be sort of topping out now, you'd think, wouldn't you? Like, I just can't see how they can keep going up.

No, I wouldn't have thought so. Um, yeah, you're also seeing like if you look at the modern version of like the focus RS and stuff, you can buy those fairly cheap at the moment.

Right.

And you kind of think they're probably gonna go up.

Yeah.

I don't want one, but no, but um, you see, yeah. I guess if you've got the space and the money, then you might be stockpiling them, but yeah, but um we'll call it a day then. Yeah, good to see you, good to speak. Yeah, okay. See you later. We'll uh wrap it up. Roll the credits.
